Looking for Someone to do a Rebore

I have a CPA barrel chambered in 17 Ackley that was fit to a Stevens 44 1/2 action and I have been considering having it rebored to 30-caliber.  I would like to reuse the barrel on the same action.  JES doesn't seem to work with bores this small.  Can I get a recommendation for somebody who could do this work?  Many thanks in advance.

Thinking out loud and wondering if they would do the Rebore if you had the barrel bore drilled larger and then send it to them?

Bobby Hoyt does great muzzleloader barrels. He bored .y  .32 out to a .40 and it's a great shooter. I know several others he did liners in. Not sure if he does cartridge rifles, may be worth a call?

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I don't think it's the hole down the bore that is the issue as much as his rifling tool diameter that dictates how small he does.

Yes Bobby Hoyt does in fact do cartridge barrels. He currently has my low wall that he will reline to 38-40 wcf. I don't know how small he can go but would be well worth the phone call to find out.

I found the following contact info for Mr. Hoyt on the Cast Boolits forum, however it dates to 2016.  Is this info still current?

read on another forum that Mr. Hoyt who is well-known for reborin'/reriflin' muzzleloader barrels to larger calibers has a new address.

Robert Hoyt
2379 Mt Hope Rd
Fairfield, PA 17320

The last address you posted and phone number looks to be the correct one.

If you call and a young lady answers the phone don't be surprised. Bobby's grand daughter is working with him.

I could sell you a rifling machine so you could do your own. I don't have a 30 caliber cutter box but there is a 7MM. I have about 20 sizes up to 72 caliber.
