Rodney Storie casting’s retirement

Just to let friends and customers know I will be doing one more order from the foundry, and then I will be retiring from that business. So if you want anything that I have on hand or can put in this order, please PM, me or preferably email at rodney4477@ yahoo.com to get on the list. As always, no money upfront.
Just for the record for the ones that might be interested. I made my first Investment Casting molds in 1982. It was a sight base for a Remington rolling block. The first complete action set. I made was for the Redfield, 1889 that was loaned by George McCluny. The first company name was RSVP , which stood for Rodney Storie various products. The next was Bison mfg when I had the foundry, in 1994 to 1998 I believe. Between these I had sold the molds to Bud Smith. He called his Company Tools international. Then when I was back to using other foundries, it was Frontier Armory. Kind of copying from Dick Binger Scott’s creek Armory. Since I retired from teaching in 2018, I did it as a hobby under my own name. So now, maybe, I can finish at least a few of my own projects. But I would like to thank all my customers and especially the ones that became friends and shared the passion for the old single shot rifles. Respectfully yours Rodney Storie.

Rodney,
I am both happy and sorry to see your retirement announcement. Sorry to see the loss of such a wonderful resource to our shooting community but happy that you will now be able to pursue personal time. Thank you for all that you have done!

I had heard rumors this was happening.  Sorry to see it, but I also understand.  Been retied for 8 years and it has been pure joy doing what I want to do.  Congratulations my friend.
Bob

I’ll be placing an order.

The industry is going to miss having all your castings for rare rifles for sale. While I’m not a machinist, those who are I’m sure enjoy the makings of fine rifles from them.
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard the name of George McCluny. Many years ago I bought a bunch of lever castings for singleshots from him. I bet they came from you!
Best to you in your retirement.

Thank you Rodney,

You've turned out some very nice castings that have helped us save lots of old guns!  Wink

Rodney
When you offered those Pope rifle rests, I jumped on it and bought one of your finished sets in steel. I've been using it for several years now and find it one of my more useful pieces of gear.
Sorry to see you retire from the rifle parts casting scene but time marches on . . . for all of us.
I wish you the best in retirement.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.

Thank you for all you have done! Enjoy retirement, you’ve earned it!
I had out my Wesson and Farrow kits last night trying to decide which one to start next!  Cheesy
