bsa mk2 international malfunction

Hello I was shooting Sat. morning ,had a malfunction, I pulled the action and it seemed like the firing pin failed to retract, not thinking I put it back together and of coarse it will not open.
I am a little frustrated as this is one of my favorite rifles for club matches.

Did you try pushing the firing pin back into the block with a cleaning rod?

Firing pin is retracted out after pulling the trigger.

If you cock the action by opening the lever is the firing pin still retracted out?

Try cocking the rifle and then taking the action out.

if the lever wont cock, try flipping it upside down and shaking lever. I know sounds weird but I had an extractor break out on one side of the retaing pin. The piece jamed everything up. Probably not your issue but worth a try. good luck

Well to-nite I'd give another try ,to get it apart. the cleaning rod didn't do anything, so I started taping and rotating the action.
after awhile the action dropped some and I started driving out the pins that were exposed, and the action dropped out.
I don't know the proper name of the part, but it's a cam with a paw on it that's broken off. Next I will need to one or have one made.    *  Fond a cross section of the rifle, the part is called a (tumbler).
