I need contact information for the gentleman who does precision welding. I remember seeing his ads but can’t seem to find them now. I hope he is still providing this service.

Pete is still doing work, he has 3 projects of mine right now. When I talked with him last week he mentioned that the antique repair work was slowing down. Not much welding for the newer generation and their plastic guns.

I’m not sure how laser works for cracks or major frame repairs, but it sure works nice for parts needing built up, especially when precision is required.

I just recently was exposed to laser welding and never knew it existed before then. It appears to be much easier to get clean, great welds, but also looked like it would require a great deal of metal to be removed on thicker metal to build up and get deep penetration on thick metal.
If I was younger I'd be more interested in investing into a laser welder, but too spendy to make me do so at my age now.
