Swaging 1¼

some guys throw live cases into the bin as I found out when the one I had missed went off and blew open oven door and scared the cat.
The cases must then be sorted by head stamp.
Corbin also supplies a die to use in your reloading press to iron out the rim of the cases. I use Corbins lube on the cases which then have to be washed again otherwise the lead core will not cling to the sides of your new jackets.
The lead cores you have made also have to be lubed and put into a die to swage down to the weight you want. When making the core from scrap lead which must be pure lead, not wheel weights which has Antimony or other things in it which hardens the lead and is ok for cast bullets making but not for your cores and get them slightly more than the weight you intend making the bullets for to avoid putting too much stress on the core swaging die due to too much lead having to be bled off through the small holes provided.
