Casting pure lead ingots

I acquired some( I believe ) pure lead in various shapes - blocks and what looks like a sheet from around a chimney or vent. Melted it down into muffin pan size ingots. I'm using a propane style torch and on one of the block's I see a blue tint like it might have got to hot ? Any down side to that particular block? The others are bright and shine. Your thoughts on casting temps for the lead and mould. Hoping to make my own 2-1 with tin / antimony for a 40-65 Browning. Asking the experts. Thanks

I have seen that blue tint many times and my lead flashing muffins comes out just fine.  Not as good as my wife's cornbread muffins though.

I believe the O.P. means a 20-1 mix of tin/lead.

I make 20-1 almost exclusively.  Blue too.  I don’t use a propane torch after making pure lead.
