I installed the ‘unique’ benchrest stock on my 32 Miller Short BUG - Butt Ugly Gun.
Now to see how it shoots.

Now all you need is a rowboat, or adhere to the old adage"form follows function". One had only to witness some of the top flight examples on the line at Raton in past years. Lones Wigger and others come to mind.

Unless this shoots one hole groups, the only people who will see it are at my local range. I could tell them it is a standard shootzen rifle and they would believe me Smiley.  The other idea is to get the other competitors laughing so hard they can’t hit the paper.   Cheesyh Grin Wink

Going to be like shooting a radical German target rifle from the bench. You gonna need a tall front rest.

I know where there is an uglier stock. Belongs to a shooter at Glasgow MT.

Shouldn't it be the butt?

This was my ugly duckling which I started off shooting in postal matches in the early sixties. Struggled hard but never made the A team at my club. Thought it had to do with my master eye being on the left. So I carved out the stock to get my head over. Nobody told me I should try different types of ammo.
Later on I put the scope on for head shot Rabbit shooting for the pot.

If you look closely you will see I did a nice bit of brass and wood inlay and nickel plated the the bolt that holds the stock on and a nice bit of Cuban mahogany to lengthen the stock which was nicely set off with the nice white plastic  Turned out it was great to get everything the same for each shot as if I got my top lip just touching the bolt head every thing stayed the same for each shot.
I don't think you should try this with a centre fire though.
Managed to sell the rifle a few years back as a buyer wanted the scope but I wouldn't sell it without the rifle.

When ever I show up at the range with a Tyrol stocked German Schuetzen, I here comments about butt ugly, don’t know if they mean the rifle or me.
