Don’t own a Ballard or a trap door, do own 9 German Schuetzen rifles, including 2 of my favorite System Concurrenz. Just bought number 10, a System Marrkolbe in an online auction Saturday.

We eagerly await pics of it, Mike, and an explanation of what makes it a Marrkolbe.

These photos are from the auction catalog. I am anxiously waiting for the invoice. There was only one other bidder and he only bid against me one time. If the rifle has not been rechambered and the bore is good, I got a hell of a buy.

I was born in Germany and as a young Lad during the war I seen a pile of rifles like this in the town square with a tank running and backing over them and set on fire after.
I always still wonder how many found their way to this Country in duffel bags.

Most, I would guess. Some were rechambered, hopefully not this one.
