I'd bid if it included a pair of consecutive serial number Colt revolvers in that cartridge. Preferably nickel plated (to match the tool).

LOL!  If you offer him $45 I'll go $46, but that's my limit.

Just for fun, I put in an offer of $45…. Which yielded a total with tax and shipping of $80.10.
What if I get it  Shocked

Mike, don't worry about it. USCRA had sworn to bid 46 bucks. He's the one that should worry.

Wow! Just wow!

How do you suppose folks come to these prices? What are they using as a source or comparison for value.

Shaking my head while I sort through the junk, err, high grade antiques in my collection….. Cheesy

Well, for what it's worth that's the selfsame loading tool Teddy Roosevelt carried in his saddle bag in Cuba, for use with his Army .38 Colt. He sat around the campfire on the night before San Juan Hill casting bullets and loading ammo for The Big Day. Truth. I was hoping to get it for the $2400 offer I put in but who am I to stand in the way of friends.

I got mine already.  Inside and outside lubricated.

Glad it still has the aftermarket custom handles still on it.  Shows that it’s been used, often and knowledgeably, at least.

There’s not a trace of the original nickel on it, though it's in good shape otherwise.  But an unblemished one, in the original box, with the decapper, powder scoop and instructions, might go for a tenth of that, last I checked.

I'm interested.  Perfect cartridge for one of my double rifles on my next safari.  Pure elephant medicine.

There was an old Rolling Block rifle with broken stock, and looked like it was drug behind a covered wagon on GB last week for $20,000 stating price!
Supposedly attributed to some outlaw from Oklahoma, but provenance was pretty weak. And even if true it wasn't Jessie James, or a famous outlaw. And the gun was horrible!

Seems like every once in awhile somebody fishes for a sucker in hopes of either getting their poor investment back, or trying to make a huge killing on junk.

So he is picturing a misprinted ad in Buffalo Arms online catalog as proof of value. A few scrolls down and the same bullet lists for $225 but is out of stock.
P.T. Barnum at work!
