Winchester 22 single shot boys rifle without trigg

Winchester 22 single shot rifle without trigger spotted at Sandpoint gun show first weekend in March 2024.
Firing mechanism was located at the rear of bolt and activated by thumb.

From what I remember about these Winchester thumb trigger rifles, is that they are somewhat scarce because boys wanted a "real" rifle with a normal trigger, and they didn't sell too well.  I believe that they sold better in Australia.

I think some were sold here, as I occasionally over many years have seen them at a gun show or in someone's collection. But they are very rare.

Thumb trigger Winchesters are not uncommon here is Australia. they turn up fairly often and in generally well used/abused conditions. Typically used as  "farm" rifles.
