Applebee .32-40 rifle?

I couldn't find anything on this rifle with the search function, nothing came up in  google searches (beyond this one rifle) and I figured I'd wait until it sold or wasn't relisted to ask about it because I'm not sure about linking to live auctions.

Used, L.A. Applebee Break Action Single Shot Rifle, With help from another GunBroker user we may have discovered who made this rifle. A Gun Maker from NY. Levi Allen Applebee. Birth. Sep 1824. Cuba, Allegany County, New York, USA. Death. 17 Feb 1907 (aged 82) Friendship, Allegany County, New York. This fits as the gun was purchased years ago at a gun shop on the VT. NY border., Appears to be a vintage build but have no way to date it, .32-40 win., 30" Octagon barrel, Very good bore with strong rifling, Adjustable tang sight, Globe front sight, There is also a dovetail for a "middle" sight, Side lever opening, Wedge type extractor is operated by opening the action, it must be reset before closing the action, Double triggers with the front trigger facing rearwards as that trigger is how the rifle is cocked, Walnut butt stock, Not much of a forearm(very short), Brass trigger guard, butt plate and patch box, Metal is pretty much in the white at this point, it looks as if it was browned at some point,

I saved some of the images because GB will only keep them active for so long.

No problem!  Looks like $895+$65 for the ride+tax and whatever GB fees there are.  I suspect the buyer is close enough to $1K as to make no difference.

If it wasn’t a bad time to get into new calibers, I’d have taken a chance when I first ran across it several months ago.

GB has no fees to the buyer, so it's just the end price plus shipping, and whatever taxes your state has.

I know it used to be that way but in the past 6-8 months but I've seen some sellers mention a 1% fee GB adds on to the total that is out of their hands.

I haven't bought anything in almost a year and don't remember if it was added at that time or not.

Could it be sellers passing along a fee they are charged but shouldn't be passing along (like cc fees)?  Maybe?

I like it! If I was only younger and could get enough use out of it, but age is taking its toll.
