Lyman 103 for Ballard

I’m questioning, in spite of Stroebel’s book, that there really was a 103 with Ballard hole spacing (1.125”). I keep measuring the 103 and see no way to accommodate that spacing. Can someone assure me that they have seen an unmodified 103 for a Ballard?

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Can't say I have ever owned a Ballard with a Lyman 103 tang sight, but I've owned a number of other single shots with a 103 and not sure why they wouldn't sell one for a Ballard?
I've had 103's with the same spacing as a Ballard, but had codes for 1893 and 1894 Marlin repeaters. So I'm sure they made the same spacing as a Ballard.
