Stevens 44 barrel liner

I've got a Stevens 44 in 22LR. The bore is trashed and will need a liner. Will the action take either 17hmr or 17hm2?
Thanks

I have a model 44 that I put a .17 liner in,chambered in .17hmr, it handles that cartridge fine.

Great, thank you! Did you use TJ or Redman for the liner?

I don't do my own liners anymore.  Last two jobs went to John Taylor.

I did this project many years ago and ordered the liner from Brownell's, so it was a Redman liner. I didn't know of TJ's liners yet.
