They must have a been a hardy lot.

Warmer in Denver than shooting at -40 at Spruce Grove, Alberta or Wimborne, Alberta in January.

We used an electric battery jacket beside the bench to thaw out your trigger finger between shots.

Hand warmers do not provide enough heat at those temperatures.

And you'd also need heaters to keep the beer from freezing..

Or cheap rye whiskey.

Five Star would freeze whereas good quality Canadian Club or Crown Royal rye whiskey just made a nice cold drink.

I've never seen "good quality" & "Canadian whiskey" used together in the same sentence before. Grin

We always thought there was no good quality Tequila.

The Alberta Forest Service helped develop a Forest Fire Wildfire Suppression Training Center in Jaslisco.

The Mexicans involved in it's development later came to  Alberta bringing private estate made tequila not sold commercially.

It was of surprising quality better than even a good $200 bottle of Scotch.

So you Americans have to quit drinking that cheap rye whiskey that we wont drink and only export.
Come across the border to try the good stuff. Grin

If the Kanucks would quit drinking Reposado Tequila they would know there is better but still a 3-year old Anejo is nothing to compare with a Scotch of 10+ years of age.
