You don't sound like Mark Sackett to me, but I don't know him well.  Enough to know that your stated rifle and one time winning and starting shooting in 1997 don't jive with him, and he won in 1998 (for the second time).  He's won more since then.

Not calling you out, just putting information out there.  I don't know you, and have no dog in this fight.

Back to the original question; I can't remember how many years I have attended, however I have been a shoot sponsor for the last 6.  If you have never attended, let me just say this is one of the best weeks I spend in any entire year.  The site is well organized. Camping is free for participants, you can shoot all week,  and best of all the folks are a real pleasure.
Things you can count on; Wind, the weather will change, and a large number of very nice people.
