This guy met his Waterloo late this afternoon. Hepburn is a Match B in .32/40 Remington Hepburn that someone butchered by cutting the barrel to 27” and lopping off the buttplate prongs.

That still is a nice rifle, doing something very nicely. How far was the shot, and what are you going to do with the pelt?

Around 75-80 yards. A close shot but with iron sights in shadow nothing is real easy. I missed him last weekend at 200 yards when I  underestimated the wind. Calling taxidermist today to see about a mount. Perhaps a hat.

Nicely done! The Match B Hepburn is my favorite! Yours is still a very nice rifle!
