This has been at auction for a bit. Not in the best condition and not for much use other than a plinker. Could remount sights on it but I have been thinking perhaps a scope but concerned about clearance and loading. I would not want to mount a scope high. Anyone scoped a BSA Martini?

This system has worked well for me on several Martinis. No problem with clearance when loading a 22. The stock comb height is the same as the original BSA.

What is that attached to the trigger guard? Looks to be some sort of "set trigger" or something to make the pull lighter.

3/8" dovetail rail made from aluminum.
Use 22 scope rings - high rings for more clearance to action.
Can also use Anschutz iron sights on the rail as well.

Both of my BSA .22's are drilled and tapped for target mounts. One uses a DZ scope and the other a 6x 1-1/4" Unertl varmint scope. No problems with either-plenty of clearance for loading .22 LR, and low enough to be comfortable to shoot.

Consider a cantilever sight mount. I have put them on three of my Martini's and like the additional rearward scope location for a better sight picture.
