What if I don’t have a indicator ?

Do the same thing by firing the rifle at short known distance on paper. 25 or 50 yards will do. Shoot a group sight cranked down low. Count the clicks to give more elevation & shoot another.

From the center of groups measure difference . Multiply movement by changed distance to figure POI movement at 100 yards  Then divide by clicks taken to come up with movement per click in MOA.  This method requires more sight movement to work well due using center if group instead of actual sight movement measurement.

At times have done it simplified to quickly confirm sight movement . Shooting zeroed on target any distance put clicks on the sight. Figure in my head were point of impact will be with the additional clicks. Shoot a few and see if POI is were it should be.

We talk about all sorts of accuracy items. Sight controls every shot fired. Master sight adjustment, it pays off in scores. When I was MD at club Smallbore silhouette saw more missed targets due poor scope adjustment than which brand of .22 Ammo the rifle liked.

The Redfield sights with the 1/8th minute adjustment are marked "mk 8" on the end of the adjustment knobs.

In 1960 Redfield introduced the International Mark 8 target sight for shooters wanting more precision than customary 1/4 minute sights could offer.
The Mark 8 was identical to the standard International target sight, with the exception that it offered 1/8 minute micrometer click adjustments.
Mark 8 is stamped on the Up knob.
No stamp then it is the original 1/4 MOA International sight.
