Modern High Wall Question - Barrel Change

I have a question about changing barrels on modern made High Walls from Winchester/Browning/Miroku.  The answer is probably obvious, but can you take a High Wall barrel stamped Browning and fit it to a Winchester action?  If so, then what are "the Devil is in the details" issues to take into consideration?  As I said, my hunch is that the barrels will interchange between Miroku made Brownings and Winchesters, but every time I assume I usually make the former out of me and not you!  Thanks much and I appreciate your help.

Texas Mac would be the person that can answer more definitely.

I have not changed them myself; but what I remember from others is that some are the same thread, and some are different.

The barrels are generally glued in with threadlocker, and some can be very hard to remove.  So much so that Browning would generally substitute a new receiver and barrel assembly for barrel warranty problems.  The barrels are also not timed as well as old 1885 Winchesters, so won't always directly interchange without adjustment.

Thanks and that's the Devil I eluded too.  It too could be a serious buzz kill in sizing up potential projects.

Nope they are not interchangeable.  For some reason unknown to me, Miroku changed the thread pitch, dimensions & shank profile when the later Winchester BPCRs were made vs. the earlier Browning BPCRs.

The above is correct, but by carefully applying sufficient heat with a torch the barrels can be successfully removed without damage.

Thanks.  It sounds to me like removing a barrel is a pain in the rear and that one should not count on barrels matching the threads on receivers of unknown date of manufacture.  In my case I was wondering the odds of a Browning BPCR barrel fitting up to a "Winchester" Traditional Hunter or Trapper.  And its not sounding good with the info posted in this thread.  Thanks again!
