Years ago I went to a German auto parts store to buy some spark plugs. I thought ok, this can't be hard so I asked for "Blitz Dubel" (Spark Plugs literally). After looking at me like I just stepped of an UFO the guy asked me me draw a picture. Once he saw my drawing he said "aha.... Zundkerzen or translated "igniting candles".....

Some basic translation errors;

Barrel in German is Lauf. Barrel is typically translated as Fass (Barrel, as in beer in English).

Lauf in German is typically "Run" as in a stretch of a road or River.

The whole problem with translations is that there are Fachsprache (Professional languages) that are not typically included in the translation programs. Almost every field of endeavor in Germany has its own "Fachsprache". Using these services without knowing their limitations is promoting mis-information

When I was in Germany, almost everyone spoke English.   
I did hike to a hardware stower to buy a small vice and files. The man there spoke no English.
A bit of sign language and charades got the items I wanted.

Google translate is marginal.

Germans are/were required to learn some English since WWII but since it has become somewhat less emphasized. Most can understand but they prefer not to speak it. It is an honor thing not to be wrong.... I as an American that started to learn German at the age of 35, don't give a shit if I used the proper grammar and I get things accomplished. Because of the Fachsprache my wife (a German) is often amazed at my vocabulary because it crosses hunting, shooting, car and general life. I use termed she has never heard when appropriate...

I remember Krico rifles from somewhere, maybe the late 1950s.  The one that comes to mind was a .22 Hornet with a single-line magazine just in front of the trigger guard and a full-length stock.

In the German language grammar there are three genders is impacted by whether something is singular or plural, an endless variety of dialects, more professional languages (specialized vocabulary for fields of endeavor like guns, hunting, cars, forestry, ...) than I can name and the ever evolving street languages (slang) that each have impacts on grammar. If you can master it all I salute you....
