Birchwood Casey Barricade is also what I use. That’s a can of it behind my Marlin 1889.

How is it applied? Is the overspray safe for the stock finish? Same questions about Old West Snake Oil.
Mike

Mike,  The Birchwood Barricade I just spray on a cleaning cloth and use it on the metal. The snake oil I put on a smaller cotton rag and apply on both the metal and wood.
