Anybody Recognize This Stamp?

Picked up a Stevens 45 in 22 Lovell, & it is stamped R-2 with a circled J underneath. Same circled J is on the barrel under the forearm with what appears to be a serial number, though not the same as the action or even close. Just wondered if anyone here might recognize the mark & if it has any significance.
Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but hopefully it'll shoot decent. In hindsight I should have taken more pics while I had the forearm off, but oh well. Probably could have put more light on the markings too, but I ain't no photographer.

I've seen that rendition of R-2 somewhere. I want to say "Johnson", which would also explain the J?

More than one version of the 22 Lovell, R-2 was one of them.

But it's by far the most common of the bunch. Since it was always a wildcat there's as many variations as there are/were guys making reamers.

The R-2 Lovell I'm plenty familiar with, was much more curious about the J in the circle & the unique way the R-2 was stamped on the barrel.
Here's a better pic

Thanks guys. Took her out today & it shoots pretty well, though I'm going to have to monkey with the double set triggers. Can't fire it after setting the rear trigger right now, but just pulling the front one will get the job done. Gotta love the stuff some of these gun shops peddle, eh?
