Highway Breach Block Firing Pin Hole Burr

Seems like all the Breach Blocks have a Burr or slight Buldge around the Firing Pin Hole.  From what I can figure out the travel of the F.P. is haulted by the Radius merging the Nose to the Body.  Over the years the constant pounding swedges the metal forward.  What to do?  Dress it down, new Breach Block or is it the Nature of the Beast.  Thanks, David

I would say to remove the burr by stoning or filing to
restore the face of the breechblock to "flatness" up to the
firing pin hole.
If the burr persists/comes back, the breechblock should be
bushed with a harder material

Always thought the hammer should rest on the frame or receiver when down, not on the firing pin.
Base of the firing pin should just touch the hammer when down with the correct protrusion of the tip.
Front shoulder of the firing pin should be clear when the hammer is down. Contact, if any, just from inertia.
Similar with firing pin retaining pins or screws, clear when the hammer is down.

What Chuck says is how I setup firing pins.  In theory when the hammer is down the firing pin is floating free, no contact of the pin body at the front, rear or retaining screw.  Guess I figure there is some dampening of the pin as it strikes the primer.  Now dry firing is a different problem if continually done.
