rifling twist in 32-40 Stevens ?

I have acquired an original Stevens model 44 1/2 chambered in 32-40.  Would anyone here know what I can expect the original rifling twist rate to be in this rifle?  I would like to know so that I can target a best bullet length.

That is my guess too but I dont know if they were ever offered in any other twist rate.
As per Ned Roberts book this is an earlier one that had dovetailed scope bases where as later ones had the target type bases screwed on.
