I know a lot of you folks own scatterguns as well as single shot rifles so may I ask someones advise on a stock installer? Fellow gave me an old LeFever .410
double that is missing the stock. Can anyone suggest someone who could install one?

Nitro Special.

There were no .410s by either Lefever Arms Co or D M Lefever Sons & Co.

My point is that a Nitro Special is a boxlock and would be fairly easy to restock.

Good point. I will never again try to stock a sidelock double. Tongue

Yes it is a "nitro special". One guy quoted me a 8 month turnaround and 1400 dollar price tag. Not no but heck no. Don't think he understood no way was I going to put that much money in a field grade gun unless the stock came diamond encrusted. Guess if I can't find someone reasonable to do it I will tackle it myself if I can find a stock.

With a quick google search, Macon gun stocks lists a semi finished walnut stock in .410 for $150.

The guy at Macon was the one who quoted me that 1400.00 8 month custom stock price...
