DST Hepburn questions

I have a couple questions concerning my DST Hepburns…

1- does it harm anything to fire with just the front trigger or should  I always use both triggers.

2-Can I unthread and remove the adjustment screw on front trigger completely with gun fully assembled and then thread a new one back in and readjust?

3-Does anyone know the size, thread, pitch of the adjustment screw?

Thank you for your help.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I've always been told not to fire the set trigger just using the front trigger unset. Supposedly it will damage the set triggers.
The screw can be removed and replaced with no harm at all. But I don't know the thread size. Never had to replace it on any of mine.

Thank you very much. I have a new hunting style Hepburn with a broken head on screw. I also have a hunting style rifle in beginning stages of build and these will be the first DST guns I have used in the field. I will stick with using set triggers.

DZs website says none but one of his action screws will fit an original Hepburn. Perhaps a C Sharps screw will work. I can have Sam Simmons make one but I would either have to send him mine or have some exact figures for him.

As I recall, I called Dan and talked. That's how I got the screw. Might be worth a call.
