I have Peabody -Martini rifle in 32-40 that I have been breech seating with a plugged cartridge . I would like to make a lever type seater for it but because of the action design I don`t know how to do it. Anybody out there have any ideas, Thanks,Paul.

One I have seen that worked well used the breech block to capture the case head in the chamber.  After the tool is inserted you raise the block just enough to capture the rim.  The pushing part was done like a Neil Rice seater.  I hope that makes a little sense and is helpful.

I have built breech-seaters for Martini actions that are based on an extension of the pin on which the block pivots.   The Peabody action has a threaded pin which may be more of a problem than the usual straight/smooth pins.  Maybe the pivot may have to be on the other end of the pin.  In any case, the bullet-guide sleeve will be a separate piece from the "pusher".

I'm watching this closely.
I have a 35-40 Big Martini that I need to fabricate a lever type breach seater for.
My push type requires to big of a whump to sest the bullet and gets hard on the hand.

PAUL:
I'm not up to sending any photos, but given the concept, you can probably figure out how to make one.   Essentially a chamber insert containing and guiding a plunger and bullet, and a separate handle with an articulated pusher to shove the bullets into the rifling.
