Could someone please measure a few of their 32-40 brass cleaning jags and tell me the diameter?

My set runs from .17 to .50 caliber, and the one marked ".32" measures .250" The one for ".30" measures .225"
I'm sure they make these to allow them to fit various bores and with a patch over them. My .32-40 rifles vary from a .316" to a .328" groove diameter, so there's no such thing as a perfect fit. Some require two patches layered to get a snug fit.

I have been using a Parker Hale Wrap Jag for some 23 years.
I then buy Cozy Flannel from our local fabric store and it is JoAnn's Fabrics here and when it is in sale.
I also bought a Fiskars 12 inch strip cutting board their when it to was on sale.
And I have 25, 28 and 32 caliber Parker Hale wrap cleaning Jags and so I have been able to cut all of my own patches to be a perfect fit for each / 25-35, 28-35 32-40 and a 33-47 when I still owned it.

BoHo I have also made my own Jags.
They used be readily available and if you choose to try using the same and can't find what you might need.
I can also share with you how to go about making your own if you have access to a lathe.

I have a handful of new jags of unknown caliber some are .275” and some are .300-.327”. I was hoping for a simple answer but that depends on the shape and size of the cleaning patch and the shape of the jag itself. These jags are long about .750” with 4 bearing surfaces each smaller than the other, and have a nice point on them. I hope the .275” works if not I will modify one of the larger ones.

BoHo in your case I would highly recommend you buying some Cozy Flannel and the Fiskars strip cutting board.
God only knows how many patches I have actually cut with it and I typically buy 4 yards of the Cozy Flannel when I am just about out and it is also always typically on sale at numerous times. And it is actually not even very expensive even if it not being currently on sale.
Might also add that it also the best cleaning patch material that one can buy and nothing at all like the cheaply made patches that one can buy and just about anywhere. I always buy the white and just a yard does make allot of patches no matter the size.

I should add it can actually be purchased for less if you happen to have a local store in the area where you live.

I use a .260 jag on my Dewey rod for 30, 32, and 38 calibers by just using different thicknesses of my patches.  I bought a lifetime supply of 4" non-sterile pads from Chuck Bordman.  I cut them into 2x2 and 2x4 sizes.

Your "long" jag at about .75" actually sounds very short. Most of my jags are 2" or longer.
Your .275" should work great for the .32-40 bores.

Bottom line is now matter what type of jag one might have they actually can still make a patch to more perfectly fit their groove size and that is actually more important than just the bore size.
Another advantage for using a Parker Hale wrap Jag is it along with the use of a bore guide bore guide is it can also help it to remain more centered in the bore and then I will get back with her helping to not creating any undue damage to the lands.

Also keep in mind that just the primer fouling alone is also very abrasive.
So one might also want to use a none imbedding cleaning rod to also keep it from also damaging the lands.
Especially if the front of and the back of a cleaning rod just cannot remain centered.
In other words if any of that abrasive fouling can be imbedded into a cleaning a rod.
And if just the cleaning rod itself can actually come into direct contact with the lands it would also now be like trying to clean your bore by using sand paper.
