Jim, you made a good transition from high power to bpcr. You are one to be respected when you show up at the range. Smiley I also heard you did quite well with your new Browning low wall at the Merrifield match this past weekend.

Bob,
Thanks for the kind words! When I started shooting with you guys at Harris, I felt I’d found a home. I’m looking forward to this coming season.
I had my left hand worked on two weeks ago. Going in for my right tomorrow.

Good luck with your other hand. I had an incident with my shoulder during fall hunting and ended up tearing my bicep tendon when I started to drag my deer out of the woods. My long-range days are over because I can no longer safely move target frames up and down without risking tearing the other tendon. Hopefully I'll still be able to shoot the gong matches.

I got the (lightly used) Weaver "Competition, T-Series, XR, Model 849946, Target 36X40mm, Side Focus, 1" tube", w. fine crosshair & 1/16 MOA dot reticle scope. The lenses are crystal clear (no oil residue), target style/height click adjustments for windage & elevation are crisp & firm, focus is easily adjustable and clear from 50 - 200 yds. (That's all I tested.) Weaver rings were included. Now all I need is a proper "Top Mount Base" to fit my BSA/Martini International MKIII action.

Scope Mount Problem Solved

Bump

Evolution Gun Works (egwguns.com) provided the Weaver style base (Part #:42700: Winchester 52 Target) attaches at site of rear Unertl style base (holes pre-drilled .860 spread), 5.882" L.O.A. Torx screws & bit included.

Burris Signature Zee Rings & Pos-Align Offset Insert Kit permit scope mounting with windage & elevation adjustments centered.
Zeroing by using ring inserts only takes time but leaves scope with full adjustability for bench/field use. Inserts protect scope tube from ring marks.

Having a new in box  T-36 with objective adjust instead of side focus, I assume everything said of side focus models apply to the one I have?  It's been sitting in box on my shelf waiting for the "right" application that has not come around as of yet so I cannot comment on quality. Curious about comments

I have six AO Weaver 36's.  They're mounted on Scheutzen rifles, competition rimfire rifles, PCP Air Rifles, and even an AR15. As needed, I move them from platform to platform.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no "wrong" application for a Weaver 36.

Thanks Jack. Good to know. Ill have to disappoint the Froggie by not sending it to him. Being legally blind in my left eye I could loose it and not be out much. Right eye is another story.
