I got out my 45-110 Shiloh yesterday, but it passed too far south of me! Cry

Yep, I dusted off my Shiloh LRE 45-100; but the varmint stayed well north of the Boise area.

Rebel, even a big balloon would be hard to hit without sights!  What caliber is your Ballard?  Nice looking shootin' iron.  Tom

As an aside, the flight of F-22's that shot down the balloon used the call sign "Frank" out of homage to Frank Luke the WWI air ace who flew in the 94th Aero Squadron, who made his reputation by shooting down a lot of German observation balloons. (No small feat as those German balloons were heavily guarded by fighter planes and AA guns.)

I was ready should it venture to tour las vegas. I think my Ballard 45-90 would do it, it has about the same recoil as a F22 Cool

Tom it's only a 32-40, but it's a Darr barrel, so I won't need sights.
