Things are looking good Chuck.  Glad to see you are out in the shop and still at it!

Will you make it to Greeley this year?

Will not make it to Greeley, as much as I would like to. Mobility issues.
You all have a great time and enjoy.

Ballards may be weaker,

Hammer retractor: Used a roller on the lever and a pushrod to retract the hammer to half cock.
Lever still too thick. Grind and file on it when I get the urge.

Barrel work: You have all seen barrel turning. Lots of chips in the pan. Barrel taper was a series of steps and blended with a bastard, long angle lathe file.
Next step was cut the "Long Squares" per Tom Rowe's book.

Barrel lugs were made from heat treated 4140, dovetailed and silver brazed to the barrel. Lugs were a push fit to allow for silver solder.  Numbers say this should work.
Has anyone had to buy silver solder lately? "Ouch"
