New Lowall Project.

I have aquired a rather unsual Winchester Lowall made in 1887 and features a lowall reciever with a moderfied highwall block.I am going to retain the original chambering 22WCF.

That is the correct block for the early, panel sided, low wall. I have two of them.

The .22 WCF was introduced in 1885 specifically for their single shot rifle, and the low-wall version was not offered until May, 1886 (thank you, Bert H.).  Therefore, I'd guess that Big Wallace might well have one of the earliest low-walls made in .22 WCF, plus one of the earliest low-walls to be chambered for other than the company-intended "pistol-sized" cartridges.  In short, congratulations of another kind.
