285221 This series of bullets was designed by Chas. H. Herrick for the .28-30-120 Stevens Rifle; the 120 grains weight is the factory bullet. Use 5 grains Unique with 120 grain bullet. (PB, FN, 90, 105, 120, 135, 150, 165, 180, also Perfection – TP is 420)

285222 This series of bullets was also designed by C. H. Herrick for the Stevens .28 (.28-30-120) calibre rifle; they are intended to kill small game without mangling it. (PB, SP, 91, 106, 121, 136, 151, 166, 181 – TP is 377)

The big question being bullet weight.  The lighter weight ones shoot well in original 28-30s with their relatively slow twists.  I have a 175 grain 287221.  Will not stabilize (too long) in a Stevens 28-30.  Shoulder on front of bullet keeps it from chambering in an old Remington No. 5 in 7x57.  I'd leave the long ones alone.  Collectors item only.
