Haven’t put it over a crony, it shoots better than I can and that was good enough for me, I use aperture sights and can put them in the 10 ring if all goes well. It’s an original receiver that has a 32" octagonal barrel( green river?) and I made the stock and did all the other work.

Well, the 3mm cupped tip punch arrived and I completely stripped the Miroku action down.  Wayne's (TexasMac) book, which has a complete section on the disassembly/reassembly of the action, kept me out of trouble.

The 1885 Hi-Wall reproduction by Miroku is a beautiful rifle in many respects but it has a major shortcoming; it doesn't tolerate debris in the action at all.  I'll be doing my best to never, ever, let any BP dribble into that action ever again!  I've secured a Lee Factory Crimp Die to help secure the wad in the case.  Should be able to resume testing next week.

I sometimes shoot BS in my 40-65 and I find a floral foam wad in the case mouth holds the powder in perfectly and up to this day I have never had one come out. Having said that it will probably happen tomorrow.
Mike.
