Bullet/mould advice for 32 Miller short.

Looking for a recommendation for a bullet or mould. It’s a .319” groove 1/15 twist, breech seated.

Seems like .320/21 tapered around 200-210 grains would be a good start. Probably more of a spitzer type.

Is that on the right track?

What’s been successful?

The Mos .32 bullet works great in my .32-20CPA and .32-40. Mine casts at 205gr.

That just seemed a bit large in base diameter for a .319. I do like his bullet design and have a couple in other calibers.
Out of stock does not help the impatient shooter. Angry

Do you know your groove diameter?

Steve Brooks at Tru-Bore Moulds will cut you a mold to fit your rifle. I'd suggest a base diameter of .00l" over groove diameter. Front bearing band at bore dia.
A chamber cast that includes about 1" of rifling will show you the leade ahead of the chamber. That will be useful in determining the diameters of the other bullet bearing bands. You might talk with Steve Brooks and probably send him that cast to get the best bullet for YOUR rifle.
He usually delivers in less than a month.
I've had him make me a dozen molds over the years and his work is always top notch, IMO.

There are indeed two Americas. Simply put, it is not the haves and have nots. The two Americans are in reality divided into those who do and those who don't.

FWIW my .32-20CPA barrel is a .319 15 twist Douglas and the .32-40 is a .321 14 twist Kreiger. The Mos spitzer shoots equally well in both.

What RSW said is great advice.
