Has anybody tried this bullet, I'm considering giving it a try in my 40-65. I seem to be having problems with getting up the Hoch web site s well to ascertain the price any help there would be appreciated as well.
Mike.

Sadly Hoch is out of business but may I suggest the NOE 412400 its a little lighter than what the Hoch would be but I have had exceptional results in my .40-65 with it.

Thanks for that, I didn't know Hoch was out of business, that probably explains why I could not find them with my computer which I put down to my lack of computer skills.
I will see if I can look up NOE moulds and see what the dimensions are for the bullet you mention.
Thanks
Mike.

Hawkeye
I looked up the NOE mould you suggested and it looks very much like my BACO Money bullet, also they were out of stock anyway.
What I'm looking for is a blunt nose bullet, nose pour mould of about 400 gr. I want the nose to be .400"  and the body to be .410", weight to be around 400gr. I may have to have a custom mould made it seems, any suggestions as to who would be the best to make such a thing ?.

Hello Mick,

The old RCBS .40 - 400 (400 gr) might suit your needs. I've got one here and have used it in my Meacham HW .40/65. Not quite a blunt nose design but close & the body does measure .410 with 20-1 alloy. I'll measure the nose dia. You are welcome to borrow mine to give it a go. I'll bring it out to the range.

Have you looked at the cast bullet engineering web site, he lists a .400 nose 410 bullet at 400gns but gas checked and a 365gn plain base
