I use RMC brass, I haven’t noticed a problem with the primer flash holes in my brass. I use an ideal #3 tong tool with the original decapping pin to de-cap and prime, and a 7 mm Mauser die to seat and lightly crimp the bullet. I use 4227 and an Ideal 285221 120 grain bullet mold. A 28-30 is pleasant to shoot and has a distinct report when you fire it. One of my favorite calibers.


With fired brass and with bullets sized to .285, I do not need to expand the case neck to seat the bullet. Maybe I am lucky I guess.
