Scope Attachment, what is it?

Saw this on a For Sale.  Lyman Scope but can't figure out what this is.  Not going to loose any sleep over it but "Inquiring Minds Want To Know"

Might be a way to attach a card to block your non-dominant eye.

It is a. Al Freeland blinder attachment. A 2”-3” black hard cardboard disk fits in it to block your non dominate eye. They work great if you have issues leaving both eyes open and focusing through a scope, similar items out there for irons as well.
