Redfield ?

This rifle is believed to have been made by John Redfield famous as a sight maker. The rifle is totally unmarked, no serial number—nothing. Caliber .22 Short. The action design reminds me of a Ballard. I would love to hear from someone that has knowledge of this rifle.

Tom,
Here is a link to an earlier discussion on a Redfield action that I built from one of Rodney's kits.  I believe there were only a couple made.  This one appears slightly different than the one I built.

It appears to have casting flaws similar to the Worns? Nonetheless, a very nice rifle Tom.

Tom,
Thanks for sharing that, I have two of Rodney's castings in the Redfield and like all of my pairs of his castings, one usually ends up in a 22rf, now I feel good about building it.  That lever is different so I'm sure I'll have to follow suit.  Smiley
