I had to shorten the back end of the barrel a little bit to get rid of extractor cuts so the very back of the chamber will be the original Stevens Match chamber and the front will be reamed with a Manson Match reamer.

John is way ahead of my build on this. Hopefully, he will post some pic's of the wood he put on his rifle.

I wasn't going to post pics until it was complete, but here is the butt stock. The forend is the same piece of wood. I used Minwax wipe on poly for the finish.

John,
That's going to be a great looking rifle.  Nice wood!

I am just a wee bit jealous of you two.  Gail says 6-8 more weeks on mine.  Model 52 stocks, and a two-barrel set.  32-20 CPA, and 22lr.  I went with the silver plate finish, and a design from the original pre-war Stevens factory.

You'll be good. Won't be shooting much over the next 6-8 weeks around here (blizzard starts this afternoon) so having a rifle or not doesn't make much difference (unless we get the dreaded snow-zombies with the blizzard  Wink). You will find it is worth the wait.

Please share finished pictures and range reports when finished.  Very nice-looking engraving work.
