Here is the low wall 32-20 that I got from Ward's auction.  I have had this scope for quite a while and it seems to go with this rifle.

The finish on the scope matches the finish on the rifle. It looks like they've been together forever. congrats!

My preference would have been a Stevens but it sure looks like it belongs on it. Nice setup.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Stevens 368 scopes are really very nice scopes! Have a full length 368 on one of my #3 Ballard rifles.
Looks like it's been there forever Jack!

My JStevens 368 and the optics are amazingly bright and clean.

If you are not aware, Stevens 368 scopes are 6X.
My 368 scope had been spray painted black by someone, I took it apart, stripped the paint and re-blued it. I destroyed the crosshairs, used the hair off of my head for new crosshairs, but they are too thick. Grin It certainly is usable though.

there is no finer silhouette in all rifledom than a straight-stock, slim-barreled low wall. The petite scope goes just swell right atop it. Nice outfit.  Kiss

My first post on this forum was to ask about my 368 scope.   It came on my 32-40 Ballard and I picked up a 12X TargetSpot right away so this Stevens has been sitting idle ever since.  It has a post instead of crosshairs and a couple of edge chips but otherwise is optically very good.  It had Winchester A5 mounts.

Sure shot  -  There is a fellow on e-bay that sells tungsten wire for reticles. Two different sizes as I recall, buy the smallest .0005

What a beautiful and period correct looking combo! I’d have to take it on a couple late season stillhunts for whitetail.

Sure shot, I'm pretty sure that bnice on this forum also sells the wire for crosshairs.  You might send him a PM.

Regards,
Joe
