	Got my first Tip Up, bought it partially because of the sights.

	Interestingly, those sights are very commonly seen on tip-up rifles and some pocket rifles. Bill Lawrence

	Nice find. The optional sights are a plus but not all that common.

	I have one of those rear sights in my big box of sights. Except the hole in it has been D&T and a screw in aperture installed in it.

	From just a quick examination, the very small Peep Hole frames the Hood of the Front Sight. So in addition to centering on the Pin Head I have a ring of light around the Hood. Now to be 20 again with sharp eyes.

	My .25-20 Tipup has those sights. Didn't know they were all that rare.

	Actually, they're not "all that rare". I'd say 60-70 % of all the unmolested Stevens tip-ups I've seen or handled in the last nearly 60 years have had those sights. They are, however, more common on the larger pocket rifles than on the "real" rifles. Bill Lawrence

	Bore is .300, Chamber is .318. Haven't measured the chamber length. Not quite a Sewer Pipe. Going to be interesting to lap the bore and make up an Everlast Case. Another project. He who dies with the most Un Finished Projects Wins😉

	Rimfire or centerfire? My tip-up rifle should have that rear sight, the factory dovetail for the rear sight is close to the action, as yours is, it has a period fixed peep sight in the dovetail.

	Bore scope is one of the Teslong scopes. This one is the WiFi version so will connect with anything, those pics are on my phone. There was a lot of rust scale a long with lead and carbon. Sadly when I bought the rifle it was typical low light gunshow and the bore was wet with oil. But the scope really makes a good bore look bad. I think I might have gained a caliber when it was clean! This is actually a Tip Up. I thought it was 32 S&W, but the bore is .306” and the chamber diameter is about .344”. It down 32-20 cases work fine when shortened to about .610” I think it is. After cleaning groups shrunk from around 6” to this at 50 yards with irons. Kind of surprised it does that well. Note the kind of Texas shaped dark spot it the same as in the earlier photo.
