348 for a single shot?

Just thinking out loud. I have a metric ton of 348 ammo and brass, and I know there are decent cast bullets available.
Thoughts?

Do you have a single shot rifle chambered in 348?

When I was in college I worked on a design for a single shot and I wanted to make it for a .348 case necked down to .338. Who knows why.

You want to build a custom single shot chambered in 348? How old are you?

Great idea I think, but use a strong action.

Joe Pfeifer had reamers made up by Red Elliot for a series of wildcats based on the 348 case necked down to 270, 7mm, 30, 338, and 375. I had a few of the reamers but gave them to a barrel maker friend. They look like the current short ultra mags, nothing really new. As stated above, I would definitely use a strong action if you want to reach full potential of these cartridges. I may still have the max and minimum drawings by Elliot for these cartridges, if you are interested.

CPA chambers for the 348.  Wyoming Armor has a Farrow in 348 that is a beauty.  Tom

I am 55. I traded for a Model 71 a couple of years ago and started accumulating ammo/brass. Before I knew it I had about 700rds.
I love #1's so that may be the route I take should I ever do it.

What about a Martini Henry for an action?
