I want to build a 9 o'clock extractor for a Hauck instead of the original 6 o'clock and have difficulty visualizing the function. So. I made half a receiver out of aluminum, place the breech block and lever in it, watch their interaction and build accordingly.

Yes, it helped. I was able to make the required cut on the block, which I really did not want to get wrong! I have not built the extractor yet, but think I can see there from here.
