My hi wall is missing the little Spring and detent that holds a lever up when closed. I've got a picture of one but I'm not entirely sure is sure of dimensions.

If or if anybody knows where I could get one this is a coil Spring action of course

Not sure if this might be of any help but MVA might be able to help you out. The below link should take you to a break down of all the action parts and their related parts numbers. You will probably have to click on the trigger system, DST, Single Set etc. to get to the drawing to come up and what I also had to do.

On another note Pope would eliminate any unnecessary parts and he would bend the trunnions to then create a friction fit to hold the lever up and throw the other parts away on a HiWall action.

Richard Hoch built this rifle I'm thinking he left it out for a reason. Maybe I should just live with it thanks for the input

C. Sharps makes the coil spring type action using the spring and plunger to hold the lever closed. I bought one for a project some time back and it fit the original action perfectly. Possibly give them a call, I stopped in on my way back from the Quigley and purchased some parts for a project. The girls in the office were quite helpful filling my order.

My "modern" made coil spring HW was also missing the lever spring and plunger and I was able to get them from C Sharps last month. Thinking the spring was $3 and the plunger $5, so I ordered 2-sets to have a backup just  in case. It was something like $20 delivered. Fit was perfect!
