Drooping 1885 lever/where to buy dst lever?

After the coil spring action is closed the lever wants to drop down about .5" I haven't opened it up yet but am curious what the fix might involve.
Also its a single set tigger with standard lever.id like a dst lever(or just larger "loop")  as there is very little room to set the single from the back

There is a cup with a spring in it right behind the pivot pin for the lever. It's very possible that the spring inside the cup is weak which puts the pressure on the lever and holds it up. C Sharps may be able to help you out as I think theirs are coil spring actions.

Or, the cup/cap may be missing. CSharps is the source for same. You might also check Numrich.

I had the same drooping lever issue on my modern Weber made HW coil-spring action... and yes, C-Sharps Arms had the "lever plunger and spring" for $5 + $3 each plus shipping. I ordered two sets last month and it was ~ $20 shipped IIRC. Figured it was worth getting a backup set at that price. Hope this helps...

A common problem with highwalls is that when the lever closes, it goes just past center, and if you watch the block carefully you'll see that the block drops down a tiny bit. If the block is breeched-up too tightly, or it's dirty, the block won't drop down, and then the lever will droop. After you close the lever, push down on the block to see if it's dropping down.
