Here is another one that Gail might be able to adapt to fit your rifle.

A beautiful and extremely charming false muzzle loading or breech seating off hand rifle Joe!

Damned nice Joe!!
Been staying up with the age and the demographics being posted and unfortunately like myself offhand shooting is starting to fade away. This was me in my younger day's and I believe it was at an ISSA Regional match here at the Modesto rifle club. Sure would be nice to be able to still do it now but unfortunately for me those days are now long gone. But I still have the Belly, Hat, Rifle and the additional means to hold my pants up and still my Hair.

Joe,

My stock looks similar to yours.  It is waiting for my cast Ballard to be finished.

John,

The stock picture is in my post.  The other rifle parts are not assembled yet.  I need to set the 32 cal barrel back a bit.  Then i need to find a reamer in either 32 S&W long or 32 Colt long

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

Looks like George, Treebone Carving might have the radical style.

George told me years ago he "hate doing stocks for Ballards!" and "I'd rather not drill them for the through bolt."
So his stocks are drilled for the through bolt, but not cut for the tapered tangs. The one I got from George back when he did cut for the tang was off center, and by the time I removed enough internal wood to fit, the stock had to be relieved more to shift it to one side enough to not be low to the receiver.
Hopefully he's adjusted things so his Ballard stocks have a little more wood where they meet the receiver now.

ISS, you might want to call Mike Bassett. Mike has basically taken over Crossno Gun Service, with the passing of Dave and Pam (RIP). Dave had an extensive collection of Ballard stock patterns, some quite rare. I believe Mike is still in pocession of those patterns. You can reach him at 405-315-0590.

I would also recommend Mike, he does very good work and should have different Schoyen styles.
I was lucky to find an original left handed one a couple years ago.
