Anyone using a bore-snake to clean their barrel?
If so, how happy are you with the results?
What's your technique - bore cleaner fluid on the front end and oil on the tail? How many times thru the barrel?

I use one sometimes with black powder loads, it depends on the rifle.  I keep it wetted with a little water in a gallon ziplock bag.  At the range, usually one pull through is all it takes and I continue shooting.

I like to run one through my .22's a couple of times after shooting just to get the loose crud out. I hate it when I look down the bore of a gun and see crud.

I too use one after shooting my .22s and cast-bullet .25s, smokeless powder only.

Generous helping of Ed's Red on the lead end, nothing more.

None of my rifles lead.  As far as I can see it's quite adequate.
