Man that looks like a sweet little gun. I wasn't able to enlarge the pictures, but it looked awesome.

I've seen such Pieper volley guns before but always using a standard rolling block action.  I wonder what this under-lever version has to recommend it?

Not a single shot.

My one ton flatbed is four wheel drive but it's not a four wheel drive.

I know that will confuse some of you.   Grin

The trick is finding the full-moon clips! Come on Joe, you load it once, you cock the hammer once, you pull the trigger once, and it fires once! It's a single shot.

And if you remember the Nock volley gun used by Jim Bowie in John Wayne's version of the Alamo, at close range the results of that single trigger pull can be devastating.

Its a taxidermist gun used for small birds and animals. They used .22 shotshells rather than bullets to collect specimens for museums and naturalist displays.

I almost bought one of those at the Albany, N.Y. gunshow about 25 years ago. A dealer named Charlie Kaplan had one for about $1200.00 and I thought long and hard before passing on it. Charlie always had interesting stuff.

I've seen a couple of them over the years.  I was told they were used for pass shooting at geese.

Be great if they made a ten shot version! One shot and the target is target is done.

You would not like your score.  Minute of goose at 35 yards?

Grin Grin
That was my same thought!  Regulating it to shoot a ragged hole might be a bit tough though...  Think of shooting a Hudson match with it Wink
