gun smith for rolling block

I am hoping someone here can point me in the direction of a gun smith or machinist that can bush the pivot pin hole in the breach block of an old Remington rolling block.  I have new pins for the breach block and hammer but there still seems to be too much wobble in the breach block on the new pin.

There are several out there who could help you. Two that come to mind are John Taylor who posts here and John King. Both do exceptional work. You can also find block castings but they will need to be fitted to the action.

From what I see breech blocks selling for, I'd rather have yours bushed. If you find a breech block they'll be used and cost you $50-$70 and then maybe need bushed too.
Numrich did have new ones from Remington's 1997 run, but not sure if they still do. Just looked and they don't have any. They were $54 and that's a steal for new blocks!
I second both Johns. Both do great work on Rolling Blocks.

The cure for that problem is to ream out the frame to match the breechblock, after truing the hole in the breechblock.  Then, turn a new pin.  Roughly a 2 hour job.  A bit longer if you blue the pins.  I generally do both the hammer and the breechblock at the same time so that the pins match.  Plus, if one is worn, the other probably is too.

That.

Finding good breach blocks has been hard for quite a while. I started to make one from scratch several years ago and found a use one. Some of the frames were case hardened so be careful when reaming the pin hole, could ruin a reamer.

It has the Oct 22   1901 patent date so I assume a model #5 smokeless
